The Role

We are hiring a Founding Account Executive to own either:

  • Indonesia market
  • Malaysia market

You will be responsible for building the market from zero — outbound-led.

This is:

  • Not a maintenance role
  • Not an inbound role
  • A structured, high-intensity outbound execution role

What You Will Do

1. Market Ownership

  • Own pipeline creation for your assigned country
  • Target cross-border, digital-first companies
  • Develop country-specific narratives

2. Vertical Penetration

Primary focus industries:

  • Cross-border eCommerce
  • Luxury resale (watches, wine, jewelry)
  • Boutique OTAs & travel operators
  • Export SMEs
  • Logistics & freight
  • Trading houses
  • SI companies

You will continuously test:

  • ACV range
  • Sales cycle length
  • Vertical response rate

You are expected to provide structured feedback into GTM refinement.


3. Closing Responsibility

  • Own the full sales cycle
  • Navigate enterprise stakeholders
  • Handle compliance discussions
  • Manage pricing and negotiation
  • Close deals independently

No hand-holding.


Who This Role Is For

Non-Negotiable

  • Singapore resident
  • Native-level fluency in:
    • Bahasa Indonesia or
    • Bahasa Malaysia
  • Deep cultural fluency of target market
  • Demonstrated enterprise-level closing experience
  • Comfortable operating in a high-pressure, high-churn environment

Strong Advantage If

  • Experience selling:
    • Payments
    • Fintech
    • FX
    • SaaS
    • Infrastructure
  • Closed cross-border merchants
  • Worked with founders / owner-operators
  • Understand margin-sensitive businesses
  • Built pipeline from scratch

We are looking for someone who can build.


Performance Expectations

This role is performance-driven.

  • Target: 10× base salary in ACV production
  • High outbound volume required
  • Strong pipeline discipline
  • Data-driven lead scoring
  • Weekly performance review cadence

Compensation

  • OTE: SGD 200,000+
  • Structure: 50% Base / 50% Commission
  • Accelerator on over-performance
  • Sign-on bonus
  • Founding AE track
